SLIP STITCH ;---This is used for hems , facings or foldings where invisibility is more

important than strength . Passen the thread beneath the hem bring

the needle out through the edge of the fold take a tiny stitch in

the garment directly beneath the point where the thread leave the fold

Now insert the needle in the hem , slip it along inside the fold and

bring it out again but half inch away repeat the stitch .
